Product Description
Shiatsu, a Japanese form of massage, uses thumb and finger pressure
on special points in the body to improve circulation, relieve stress,
and more. This massager from HoMedics simulates the deep kneading
pressure of shiatsu through two mechanical ‘thumbs,’
which rotate rhythmically at the flip of a switch in either an inward
or outward motion. Angled just right, the massager is designed for
use primarily under the neck while lying down (for support, an inflatable
head rest pillow with suction cup is included). Because the thumbs
are not adjustable and work only the sides of the neck, those with
thicker necks will find the massage more vigorous. The unit can
also be placed under a calf or thigh while the user is propped up
in bed, or under a foot while sitting in a chair (again, it will
massage only the sides of the foot, not the sole). Two handles with
rubberized grips make it easy to hold the massager against the front
of the thighs or on a partner’s back. With an extra-long 9-1/2-foot
cord for good reach, the massager measures 14 by 10 by 5-1/2 inches,
